TTVN WebMeeting Software Requirements

IMPORTANT:  TTVN WebMeeting uses Java.  For the best performance and security, it's especially important to keep the Java plug-ins updated for your browser.  Please see Java Application and Browser Plug-Ins for more information.

  • Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit versions), Windows 8 (32 and 64 bit versions)
  • Mac Snow Leopard (OSX 10.6), Mac Lion (OSX 10.7), Mac Mountain Lion (OSX 10.8), Mac Mavericks (OSX 10.9)
  • Suse Linux 11 or later or Red Hat Linux 9. (Ubuntu Linux is not supported by Saba at this time.)
  • Latest versions of popular browsers — Chrome 15 or higher, Firefox 12 or higher, Internet Explorer 10, Mac Safari 7 or higher (Chrome currently provides the most reliable TTVN WebMeeting performance on both PC and Mac platforms.)
  • Signed Java Applet JRE 1.6 Update 10 or later

For mobile devices:

  • iOS 5, iOS 6, or iOS 7 on Apple iPads and iPhones
  • Latest operating system version on Android devices
  • NOTE: Mobile devices use device-specific Saba Meeting applications for TTVN WebMeeting, rather than mobile browsers.  You must have the appropriate Saba Meeting app installed on your mobile device to participate in TTVN WebMeeting events.
  • All TTVN WebMeeting features may not be available on mobile devices.  Please see TTVN WebMeeting Fundamentals for more information.

For the best performance and security, please make sure that you have all updates and patches installed for your operating system and browser.

TTVN WebMeeting Peripheral Requirements

  • Desktop — Internal or external webcam for video and audio, powered speakers.
  • Laptop — Internal or external webcam and microphone.  Internal speakers or external powered speakers.
  • Mobile Devices — Internal microphone, internal speakers.  Audio performance may be better with headphones or earbuds. (Video is not yet available on mobile devices.)
  • If you or your other event participants experience audio echoes or extraneous noise, try using a headset microphone rather than open speakers and microphone.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE FOR HEADSET MICROPHONES:  For the most reliable TTVN WebMeeting performance, use a headset microphone with two 3.5mm audio plugs (for mic and speakers) rather than a single USB connector.  Using a single USB connector may cause your microphone audio to be garbled.

PLEASE NOTE: TTVN WebMeeting uses Voice over IP audio.  There is not a provision for linking telephone audio and TTVN WebMeeting audio.

All TTVN WebMeeting features may not be available on mobile devices.  Please see TTVN WebMeeting Fundamentals for more information.

For the most reliable TTVN WebMeeting performance, we recommend that you use a high speed broadband wired or wireless network.  TTVN WebMeeting performance may vary significantly on 3G/4G/LTE wireless networks and on satellite‐based wireless Internet services.
